This Bobrick recessed sanitary napkin disposal unit is expertly crafted from durable, type-304, 18-8 stainless steel with all-welded construction for long-lasting performance in commercial washrooms. The cabinet provides a sturdy structure, while the door is made of 18-gauge (1.2mm) stainless steel, featuring a 9/16" (14mm) 90° return flange for enhanced rigidity.
It is secured to the cabinet with a concealed, full-length stainless steel piano hinge for smooth operation and a clean appearance. The disposal panel is fabricated from 22-gauge (0.8mm) type-304 stainless steel and also attached with a concealed, full-length stainless steel piano hinge. It is self-closing and marked with an international graphic symbol to indicate napkin disposal, enhancing user convenience and hygiene.
The interior houses a removable, leak-proof moulded polyethylene waste receptacle with a 1.3-gallon (4.8-litre) capacity, making servicing simple and sanitary. The disposal opening is covered by a self-closing panel that minimises exposure and helps contain odours. For added convenience, disposable paper liners (Bobrick Part No. 353-12) are available as an optional accessory.
Installation requires a framed rough wall opening of 11-1/2" wide by 17-1/4" high (290 x 440mm), with a minimum recess depth of 3-3/4" (95mm). Care should be taken to coordinate with mechanical infrastructure to avoid interference from pipes, vents, or conduits.
If the unit projects above the top of the wainscot, a filler such as an aluminium channel should be used to eliminate gaps between the flange and wall surface. The unit is mounted using shims and secured with #8 x 1-1/4" (4.2 x 32mm) sheet-metal screws at designated points.
