Can this be installed in a shower cubicle?

Unfortunately not as the water will fill in the refill flap on the top of the dispenser.

Does stainless steel rust?

In summary, stainless steel "does not rust" because it is sufficiently reactive to protect itself from further attack by forming a passive corrosion product layer!

What causes the browning on stainless steel dispensers?

If left unused for a long time, soap can leave brown deposits that can look a little like rust on some stainless steel dispensers. This sometimes happens when the soap is left on the stainless steel surface and will oxidise! How do you clean a stainless steel soap dispenser? Please see downloads for the care and maintenance of stainless steel dispensers!

What is the best stainless steel dispenser for harsh environments?

For many boating applications grade 304 stainless steel fittings have proven adequate. The current industry standard, is grade 316 commonly termed "marine grade" stainless steel. Marine grade 316 contains 2% to 3% of molybdenum, a hard, silver white metallic element used to toughen steels and increase corrosion-resistance.

What cleaning agent is best for stainless steel? Please see downloads with recommendations of the types of stainless steel cleaners available. Vinegar can also be used which works as a mild corrosive cleaner to eat away at the oxidation on the surface. You can alternatively substitute lemon juice and get similar results!

Can i clean the dispensers with abrasive wire wool?

Steel wool or brushes will scratch the surface of your stainless steel dispensers and make it more susceptible to oxidising or staining. Do not use Bleach or any cleaners with chlorine content, this will stain and damage the stainless steel!
